With a bow to Mother Nature, Peace Sounds products aim green.

Breed Media

The Peace Sounds 1 CD is designed by our friends at UK based Breed Media. A carbon zero company, we worked with Breed on our FCS (see below) cardboard sleeve. Here is their Environmental policy:

Mahatma Gandhi, one of history’s greatest creative thinkers, said “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”.

It was our wish to evolve our industry, to breed change and reduce the environmental impact of media manufacturing for this & future generations.

Since Breed’s birth Spring 2007, we’ve been creating products to reduce the carbon emissions & overall environmental impact of physical media manufacturing, products that enrich the meaning of our clients’ art.

FCS

The Forestry Commission Scotland work throughout the UK to manage and protect sustainable tree programmes- this is where our CD sleeve card comes from. This is from their site:

The health and prosperity of England’s woodlands, forests and trees are essential to our own wellbeing and prosperity. They are a valuable asset and resource, providing important services including; wildlife habitats, building materials, woodfuels, carbon stores, places for outdoor recreation, places to work and income for woodland owners as well as helping to support sustainable rural communities.

{FCS} will ensure that our woodlands and forests have the correct level of protection and support to continue to be places that people can enjoy for hundreds of years to come.

A Local Printer

For other printed material we worked with our friends at A Local Printer – our recycled Peace Sounds postcards come with a NAMP (National Association of Paper Merchants) stamp meaning: Paper and board qualities seeking to be certified with one of the NAPM Recycled Paper Marks must be manufactured from a minimum of 50%, 75% or 100% genuine paper and board waste fibre, no part of which should contain mill produced waste

Here’s a little more from A Local’s site:

At A Local Printer we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and took the decision to launch an environmentally-friendly printing website specifically to deliver affordable eco printed products.

At A Local Printer environmental best practice is not an after thought; it’s a way of life!
